Chevrolet Fastener Kits

AMK Products offers Chevrolet individual fastener kits also known as “I-KITS” for the restoration of popular 1964 – 1981 Chevrolet models. These include Chevelle, Camaro, Nova, El Camino, Monte Carlo and Chevy Truck.

AMK’s extremely detailed I-KITS are based on the part numbers specified in the factory assembly manuals and field work. Factory assembly manuals are highly recommended and available from many sources such as National Parts Depot. Helping to ensure accuracy of our Chevrolet fastener kits is AMK’s fastener library which contains the original GM specifications for tens of thousands of GM part numbers.

Applications for AMK I-KITS cover most areas of the vehicle including air conditioning, body, brakes, cooling, differential, electrical, emissions, engines 283, 302, 327, 350, 396, 454, engine mounting, exhaust, fuel, heat, interior, mouldings, steering, suspension, transmission and wipers.

I-KIT labels include useful information such as the assembly manual page which will illustrate where and how the fasteners are used. This information will save considerable time by keeping the assembly process organized and efficient. The I-KIT label also includes the group number for use with parts books, the Chevrolet models that use the kit and the percentage of USA made fastener content.

Chevrolet is as American as apple pie. We know that at AMK and pledge to produce a minimum of 80% of the fasteners used to make our Chevrolet fastener kits right here in America, currently we are exceeding 82% USA made content. AMK is unusually involved in the manufacturing process, we supply highly detailed specifications, heading tools and SEMS washers to our manufacturers.

We are also “nuts” about finishes. AMK goes to great effort to deliver correct, high-quality finishes. Chevrolet used many finishes including phosphate and oil, electrolytic zinc, mechanical zinc, zinc & yellow, zinc & black, cadmium, chromium, copper flash and many colors of dip spin enamel. Also, some fasteners were “locked” with a nylon strip, pellet or patch. Others were sealed with bi-wax sealer or mastic sealer. AMK understands finishes and knows which shops do the best work.
